Beach House

Beach House at Brooklyn Steel

Why see Beach House?

Once twice melody tour

The brainchild of Baltimore natives Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally, Beach House combines sparse programmed drumbeats and swirling ethereal synths and guitar lines with Victoria's siren-like, diaphanous vocals. The dream pop duo are touring in support of their recently released full-length album, Once Twice Melody

The band's minimalistic tendency and perfectly judged balance makes for an enrapturing live performance. Introspective, soft and lulling, their hypnotic sound finds many an audience member gazing dreamily into the distance as they're doused in the laid-back, psychedelic haze that is Beach House.

Stellar, Hypnotic, Spectacular, Left me breathless

This concert made my dreams come true. I have been a fan of Beach House since 2013 so I was very pleasantly surprised when they came through town! Getting tickets was a bit of an ordeal but it's to be expected. Met Groupies in the box office line who got to go ahead of us in line. Purchased tickets and got in where we were immediately seduced by a bartender who charged us $43 for 2 drinks! We then settled in and were completely absorbed and it was like coming sexually listening to the psychedelic and purest of tones only reinforcing the gorgeousness of the album on vinyl. For those who are complaining of the "loudness" need to go to more concerts because the sound quality was flawlessly dynamic and revealed facets of their music that I never heard before. It was awe-inspiring and I will remember my 37th birthday for many years to come in great fondness. The Paramount Theatre design and architecture left me speechless. Such a grandeur experience. ...
