Beat - King Crimson Tribute at Kings Theatre

Beat - King Crimson Tribute

The music of King Crimson is celebrated by a group of musicians that are less "tribute band" more "supergroup"! Legendary guitarist Steve Vai and Tool drummer Danney Carey join former King Crimson members Adrian Belew and Tony Levin to tour a show performing the best bits from the legendary prog-rockers' three 1980s entries, Discipline, Beat and Three of a Perfect Pair... plus potentially a few surprises!

Apocalyptica at Paramount Theatre

Apocalyptica

It's been over 20 years since Apocalyptica first put forth their unholy alliance of metal and classical music in the form of debut album Plays Metallica by Four Cellos. The Finnish cello metal band formed with the intention of playing Metallica and other heavy metal band covers, but each subsequent release featured more and more original music until fourth album Reflections announced their fully-fledged status as original artists.

The Blood Brothers at Warsaw

The Blood Brothers

Seattle post-hardcore cult legends The Blood Brothers reunite this year, touring in celebration of 20 years since the release of Crimes. Opeth at Kings Theatre

Opeth

The Swedish heavy metal gods return to North America for a special series of concerts. Led by Mikael Akerfeld, Opeth have forged a reputation as one of the genre's most experimental forces, following in the footsteps of their progressive rock idols by incorporating jazz, classical, folk and blues influences into their sprawling - and hauntingly melodic - tracks.

GWAR at Brooklyn Steel

GWAR

Gwar is a heavy metal band formed in Richmond, VA, in 1984. The band is best known for its elaborate science fiction/horror film inspired costumes, obscene lyrics and graphic stage performances, which feature humorous enactments of politically and morally taboo themes. Their grotesque costumes make them easy to identify, and their science-fiction mythology theme only adds to the band portrayal of them being warriors.
